Saying puberty blockers are safe for precocious puberty but not gender dysphoria is quite telling.

The drugs don’t have different effects in these cases—you’re literally using them *to block puberty*.

What you’re saying you have a problem with is *young people transitioning*.

A blanket ban is wrong & not what Cass recommended. Careful, clinical provision is the way forward, not this politicisation.

The only distinction of a trans-specific ban is one based on gender identity, rather than medical need. It is therefore prejudice based on a protected characteristic - notably transphobia. There is no other conceivable rationale for a ban. @wesstreeting must reconsider.

Puberty blockers are prescribed normally for kids who go through puberty early. They're available, for *cis* kids.

They've been deemed safe, for *cis* kids.
