I'm a mommy, a wife, a lifelong cops kid, and disabled former 911/Police Dispatcher. These define me. One day I'll be back behind the mic. #BlueLivesMatter

@SLCScanner Have you seen this? If so, do you know if there will be ways around it? As a dispatcher, i understand the need to have the ability to code a channel during some active incidents but i find it wrong to keep it that way the entire time.

@SLCScanner@WVCPD@UtahDPS@UTHighwayPatrol seconds before crashing into another vehicle fleeing. @WVCPD could be heard onair while he was stopped&the others got out that they were attempting to coordinate stopping him because he was now aware they were there. It never sounded like onground DIDN'T have eyes at least. 4/4
@SLCScanner@WVCPD@UtahDPS@UTHighwayPatrol by deploying #StopSticks but it did not sound like they ever had the chance as the suspect got off at the 400 S exit of I-15 and proceeded Westbound towards
900 W, turned N on 900W and banged a U just S of 200S where the other occupants exited b4 susp fled again..3/4
@SLCScanner 2/2 👆🏻 (granted, it’s been very heavily and exclusively police dispatching) but i don’t think I’ve ever heard a mayday call or a fire channel coded that fast! 🤯 prayers for all!
@SLCScanner I’m assuming this was the fire transmission from earlier where fire called out “Mayday, Mayday, Mayday!” Then the channel was immediately coded? I can’t remember the last time in my nearly 20 years of dispatch experience.. 1/2👇🏻

It's not "DOA? Dont even stop?" They said:
“GOA."
*GONE* On Arrival,
meaning the situation self-resolved, no response needed.
They have more important ish going on.
@SLCScanner 👆🏻the importance of her stating that there are code 4 is so that Fire knows the scene is secure and not to stage while the dude possibly od’s.
@SLCScanner My dispatch ear heard “pd is on scene with someone in custody- a 40 year old male that ingested fentanyl. They are code 4 on Arrival. I’ll try to find out if they are inside out outside the store.”
He tried to pull a George Floyd and destroy the evidence, and..👇🏻
@Y21441809@WVCPD I'm sure this has been resolved by now, but for anyone reading and future info, in this case, specifically regarding @WVCPD , you just need to give the NON-EMERGENCY dispatch # a call, they'll have all tow info on file. 801-840-4000
