me it was automatic. Also: was THREE minutes late to cancel a one-month stay more than TWO months away. ZERO refund. You enable hosts to enforce predatory policies while punishing loyal guests.

@AirbnbHelp When I tried to file a claim, I found my travel insurance had been cancelled by Airbnb without notice. After many calls, one agent finally told me insurance is automatically voided if you cancel a booking - which makes no sense! Please investigate and fix

@AirbnbHelp Why wouldn’t you make the policy’s time zone explicit? All bookings list local time - flights, hotels, check-ins. If a check-in says 3pm, we assume local (Paris), not 3pm in NYC. It’s absurd to expect otherwise.
