@BenjiNaesen Re wet tyres: ln F1 they implement safety rules in a way that takes the choice from the teams. They also revise the rules to slow the cars down to avoid the cars going faster than the tracks are designed for, these safety matters are not hard for the UCI to solve!

@BenjiNaesen @laflammerouge16 The lack of break would have meant you saw more early on, but still so many, tailwind = hitting the cobbles faster and harder, energy = mass × velocity squared, so 1kph more is ~5% more energy into the tyre

@LanterneRougeYT and @BenjiNaesen thank you for your heartfelt discussion about the safety of pro cycling. As someone who works in F1 and as part of my job designs parts around the rigorous safety requirements set out by the sporting body, the attitude from the UCI is shocking.
