If the Hawks can swing a trade for @DeandreAyton, they have a chance at challenging in the East for the next 4+ years. They'd have the best point guard and the 2nd best center in the conference. I'm taking ayton over bam, Lopez, etc. With Trae feeding him, we'd have 2 Allstars.
@jcollins20_ I'm gonna miss you. 😔 my fav NBA player. I remember when we drafted you. It's been an honor to see you add an nba lvl skill coming into every new season of your career. Thanks for all the awesome memories, thanks for representing ATL. I'll be following ur career🫡.
99% of so called male depression is hiding from the lingering question: AM I DOING ENOUGH?
No!
That’s why sad feelings.
You can’t hide from ancestral DNA and blood memories.
Your ancestors are shaking their damn heads and you FEEL IT.
Hence “depression.”
Simple to fix.
In 2021, Duncan Robinson signed the biggest NBA contract ever for an undrafted player. Five years. $90 million.
He got money money.
Then in 2022, he permanently lost the starting job in Miami. And that setback cost him millions.
If you look at the fine print of Robinson’s contract, you’ll find a litany of incentives he has to meet to get the full $90 million.
🔸Must appear in 75% of playoff games
🔸Must play 25 minutes per playoff game
🔸The final $10 million is only guaranteed if the Heat win a championship
The life of a shooter is brutal. The highs and lows of maintaining your confidence is mental warfare.
And when you get benched, you get less minutes and less shots to regain that confidence. Those contract incentives start feel further than the basket.
It’s demoralizing. So many players go out like this. But apparently, the rule doesn’t to Miami Heat players.
Miami Heat culture means no matter who you are- undrafted benchwarmer or super-max superstar- if you’re on this team, you’re working.
Robinson not only came back in these playoffs, he came back different. He learned how to attack closeouts, seek contact and create off the dribble.
He’s no longer a 6’7” shooter. He’s now a 6’7” shooter, slasher and playmaker.
It’s so incredibly rare for a player who crashed as hard as Duncan did to bounce back like this. And it’s almost unbelievable to do it on this stage.
On the road. Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Duncan Robinson scored 10 points in the 4th quarter and gave Miami the Heat it needed to tie this series.
He may lose millions, but Duncan Robinson will never take the opportunity for granted. He’s living proof why you should always love yours. Because…
“It’s beauty in the struggle, ugliness in the success”…🤷🏽♂️
If Kevin McCarthy were serious about reform, he would have given them a hard $$$ limit increase and forced another debt ceiling debate in 6 month.
Highlight how ridiculously fast the debt is growing. Force these painful debates every 6 months.
This means that during the next recession in 2023-2024 if tax revenue declines and spending increases, they can borrow an unlimited amount of money for the spending spree to re-inflate the economy.
They didn’t raise the debt ceiling by an amount.
They set a new date of January 1, 2025.
So technically the debt ceiling is now unlimited for the next 19 months.
They did this because actually having to agree to $36 trillion in the headlines would be impossible to pass.
Adam Rainer, an Austrian native, entered the world in 1899, carving a distinctive niche in medical records as the sole person to have experienced both dwarfism and giantism. From his birth until reaching adulthood, Rainer's stature remained notably shorter than that of an average individual, standing at a mere 3 feet and 8 inches by the age of 19. However, a transformation occurred when he turned 21 as a lesion on his pituitary gland triggered a remarkable growth spurt, propelling him to reach a towering height of nearly seven feet within a decade.
