@HankFrank That’s part of the challenge of running Boston, you don’t know what’s going to happen. In 2012 I trained all winter, and on race day it was 91 degrees. Made it 17 miles and had to stop. Came back with a vengeance in 2013, made it to BC before I was stopped. 2014 I finally did it
@HankFrank I was training for Boston one year, got a stomach bug, knocked me on my ass for the last 2 weeks. I showed up cold to see what happens. I have never felt that good after a long run since. Trust your training, you’ll be amazed at what your body can do….
@DavidDack Countless. For me, I negotiate the distance before I leave the house. I convince myself I’ll only run a few miles, that gets me out the door. Then it’s business as usual.
