You and I think a lot a like when it comes to the Reds and the missed opportunities. Hard to watch, but I watch.

I've gotten some pushback on my thoughts on last night's #Reds loss and the missed chance to sweep the Mets.

I understand you can't win 'em all........But this team is on pace for the mid 80's win range. They are chasing the postseason.

Chasing wins, especially with the schedule ahead, is rough. They've got to stack wins, when they can.

The Mets, Giants, Rockies, Tigers Astros, Angels and Marlins are a combined 72 games under .500.

The Reds have nine losses to those teams.

Last season, they were just 37-37 vs teams with a losing record.

Last season, they got into the playoffs by the margin of winning the season series over the Mets (4-2).

Sorry....... last night can't be written off as "just one of those nights'

They left 17 on base. Elly's error was a crusher. They got a quality start from Andrew Abbott. The Mets went with an opener, and had a total of six pitchers walk 9 batters and throw 177 pitches.

Last night, smarts.

They should have had a sweep.
