The idea of Zunka Bhakar Kendras was simple: empower poor women, support self-help groups (Mahila Bachat Gats), and create livelihoods for those who genuinely needed assistance.— has apparently *upgraded* itself.

Who needs struggling self-help groups when you can have a shiny private franchise like Mani's Cafe running the show?

Clearly, The poor women were just... placeholders watching from the sidelines in Borivali Market @mybmcWardRC .
A lovely formality.

If the allotment conditions have indeed been violated, the authorities must:
🔹 Immediately verify the facts
🔹 Cancel the allotment
🔹 Resume possession of the premises
🔹 Take strict action against all responsible parties

Can citizens be told which grievance redressal mechanism in India and Maharashtra actually works?

PMOPG Portal, Aaple Sarkar, MCGM's online complaint system, MARG Portal, emails, RTIs, representations, social media outreach — citizens are repeatedly encouraged to use these platforms. But when complaints continue to remain unresolved despite years of follow-up, people naturally begin questioning whether these mechanisms exist for genuine resolution or merely for recording complaints and generating statistics.

In my experience, even a communication originating from PMO appears to have achieved little on the ground. That raises a larger and uncomfortable question: if citizens cannot secure accountability despite exhausting every available channel, what faith are they expected to place in these systems?

Why spend public money creating multiple grievance portals if complaints are simply forwarded from one desk to another without meaningful examination, accountability, or resolution? Citizens need outcomes, not acknowledgements; action, not optics.

This is what I've been saying all along. #VetalTekdi is a democratic, public, open space where people of all ages, socio-economic classes can come with their friends and family for physical fitness and mental well being.
Developed countries have such public spaces in all neighborhoods, but urban India is losing public parks and grounds rapidly. Pune's tekdis are some of the last remaining public green spaces and this is one of the many reasons why they need to be preserved.
