Writing #picturebooks is like assembling IKEA furniture:
confusing instructions,
missing pieces,
and a deep sense of accomplishment when it's finally done. #kidlit
And inevitably, it needs a good tightening every couple of months!

Some of my #picturebooks have gone through over 20 revisions. #kidlit writers, do you keep ALL your revisions? Or do you scrap some of the early versions??
Does anyone have trouble being creative with your writing while feeling under the weather?

Wrote zero words last night. Wrote several in my head and my phone though. My wife had a colonoscopy, and I’m packing to move…sometimes things happen that move up the priority list. I’ll write double tomorrow. 4,000–here I come! #kidlit#middlegradefiction
I wrote 2,000 words last night, hitting my daily goal.
I’m trying to stop in the middle of an action sequence so it’s always easy to pick it up the next day and keep going. That’s actually helping a lot!
