If the @TVKVijayHQ Government is serious about fighting corruption, they will strengthen the office of Lok Ayukta (yes TN has one) and work to ensure that the RTI Act is implemented in letter and spirit. This will possibly be the biggest two steps they can take to fight corruption.

We are seeing a lot of debate and discussion about the underhand discussions between AIADMK and DMK with background support of BJP. However, this has been amply clear for last several years for those following up DVAC cases of AIADMK corruption. We saw how DMK worked overboard to save several admk corruption cases such as adani coal import scam, kp park scam. Velumani corruption, Ration dhal, palmoil scam and many others. Also DMK not filing FIR in adani coal scam and working with BJP govt to do the 992 crore Christy ration transport scam showed how all of them had a clear underhand dealing when it cme to Corruption. DVAC officials faced pressure not to register or even recomment FIR in many scams. After Thiruma spoke in a interview yesterday, what we have been saying for a few years has come out in the open clearly!
The first one is a digitally altered page being wrongly presented as the front page of The Hindu on June 6, 1967. The second is the actual page released that day. This is what social media is capable of; it can even alter the front page of India's national English daily.
The constant abuse and target of journalists writing critically against the govt was one of the worst downgrades of the #DMK IT wing in the last few years. Beyond comments, spaces were created for discussions to tarnish journalists. Many involved in these trolls and targeted attacks, were associated with the top brass of DMK and were given a free hand to go against critical journalists unchecked. The decorum and dignity in digital public discourse when @ptrmadurai was heading it completely went off when the mantles of IT wing changed
@BlueDart_ Last two days, without coming to my home, you are updating as "premises closed" . Don't you have a proper tracking system?why your personnel is not even attempting to call me? A pathetic service
Turning rumours about a woman into a segment for views is not journalism, its exploitation. No one has the authority to tell someone to sit at home. Media platforms must act responsibly instead of chasing cheap reach. Shame on u @galattadotcom@rparthiepan
I went through the 2024-2025 Annual Report of Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (TNPDCL) - formerly known as TANGEDCO -
The contents of the Report were shocking. The observations made by the Auditors regarding the financial position of the company were quite scary.
TNPDCL (TANGEDCO) is operating with a fundamentally broken balance sheet and a compromised financial reporting system.
It is heavily reliant on government support and borrowings (seeking to increase borrowing limits to ₹1.27 lakh crore ) to sustain operations.
The "profit" reported is overshadowed by massive unrecorded liabilities, audit qualifications, and a negative net worth exceeding ₹1 lakh crore.
Now, why am I interested in this Huge LOSS making company? - Because this is where all the borrowings of Tamil Nadu Power Finance Corporation (Now TNPFIDC Ltd) go.
Now, why am I interested in this company Tamil Nadu Power Finance ? Because, about 2700 Crores of Temple Funds have been illegally invested in this BBB- rated NBFC. The accounts of this company TNPFIDC is in a mess
The Commissioner of @tnhrcedept - at least now - should take steps to ensure that funds of Hindu Temples are invested only in Scheduled Banks and AAA+ rated NBFCs.
Instead the Commissioner is keeping quiet like a thief stung by a scorpion and not replying to my notice dated 16.01.2026
What does a few days in the life of a delivery partner look like? My colleague @muskaanahmedTOI found out by working as a Swiggy/Zomato rider for three days in Chennai. She delivered 35 orders, travelled 128.8 km and earned ₹1,532.After fuel costs, that came down to ₹932 — a stark reminder of how tough and unforgiving life in the gig economy can be. The problems don’t end there. Read this highly adventurous story!
