Made a loop hike out of the second section of @MilesPerHoward’s #WalkingCityTrail today. Starting and ending in Roslindale means more time in the arboretum!
@bruceBOS@bpsworkshop@BostonSchools Re: the student/teacher ratio, some of that is due to differing student needs and is budgeted for via WSF. But it also reflects empty seats; they're budget killers within WSF and a non-issue for "in-demand" schools like BLS/BLA. Budget-wise there's surely more equity work to do.
@WelcomeToDot Yup. I still think about how the article that this excerpt is from - and which refers to middle class parents moving out of the city as "annoying" - ends with "We're all in this together".

@thelindsayist@realroborthman Absolutely. And I guess my perspective as a Boston resident only goes so far. I vastly prefer Boston to the suburbs but I've never really thought of it from the standpoint of being able to live *anywhere*. I'll likely stay but I can see how a lot of people might choose otherwise.
@realroborthman@thelindsayist Given the focus on remote work this article is more about "companies are in Boston" than "people live in Boston". Whether living 11 miles from Boston will continue to be "worth the trouble" is not the same question as whether living *in* Boston will be.
