Groundbreaking Move: Brazil’s São Paulo Assembly Recognises Biafran Self-Determination https://t.co/yQznYwQpXI
In a landmark decision, the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo, Brazil has officially recognised May 30 as Biafra Heroes and Heroines Day and passed Motion No. 186 of 2026 applauding the Biafran struggle for self-determination.
This powerful resolution describes the Nigeria-Biafra W"r (1967–1970) as “one of the greatest humanitarian tragedies on the African continent in the 20th century” and acknowledges the genocide of over three million Biafrans.
Key highlights in the motion:
• Tribute to Biafran Heroes and Heroines who fought for freedom
• Recognition of Biafra’s forced annexation under British colonialism
• The legendary story of how "King Pelé stopped a war" during Santos FC’s tour of Africa in 1969
• Praise for the Brazilian people who welcomed and integrated Biafran refugees
• Strong affirmation of the Biafran people’s right to self-determination as enshrined by the United Nations
This is one of the strongest official recognitions of the Biafran cause by any legislative body outside Africa. A major win for historical memory and justice.

When we mention foreign nations contributing to insecurity in Africa, some tend to engage in lengthy discussions and irrelevant debates.

The abduction of the Chibok girls in 2014 triggered a global movement. One school abduction was enough to unite Nigerians, attract international attention, and place enormous pressure on the government through the #BringBackOurGirls campaign.
Yet, what has happened since then should trouble every Nigerian.
Under President Buhari's eight years in office, Nigeria witnessed about ten school abductions. Under President Tinubu's administration, in just three years, we have already recorded over ten school abductions.
Despite these repeated tragedies, there has been neither sustained national outrage nor significant international attention comparable to what followed Chibok.
This raises an important question: have we become so accustomed to insecurity that what once shocked our national conscience is now treated as normal?
At a time when millions of Nigerians are grappling with insecurity, poverty, and hardship, it is deeply troubling that those in power appear more focused on political calculations and preparations for the next election than on addressing the urgent challenges confronting our people.
It is, therefore, no surprise that some observers have labelled us a "Now Disgraced Nation". While we do not agree with any attempt to define our great country by its present difficulties, we must acknowledge that persistent insecurity, economic hardship, and leadership failure have damaged our reputation and standing among nations.
The answer is not denial, propaganda, or political distraction. The answer is leadership that is competent, compassionate, accountable, and genuinely committed to the welfare and security of the Nigerian people.
The Nigerian youth must not become indifferent. We must all refuse to normalise failure.

His name is "Ifechukwu" not "Ifeoluwa," "Taiwo" or "Falala." So makes perfect sense.
Amazing how there was Peter Taiwo and Ifechukwu Dennis but it's Ifechukwu Dennis, the IGBO GUY who gets picked up and shamed in the media with zero verification to ascertain probable cause, as usual. No word on Peter Taiwo, the Yoruba guy. Robbing the Igbo Hate in like they've done since the first day of this administration that's ingloriously on its way out.
When we say the Tinubu administration took nepotism and gross incompetence to levels never before seen, folks think we're overstating.
Think of how quickly they were able to track, arrest and whisk yet another innocent Igbo young man away for utterly ridiculous reasons, or should i say no reasons at all, yet the live-streaming, video-calling killer terrorists holding and killing innocent Nigerians in the forests right now can not be tracked or arrested...because, as the regime believes and confesses, they're merely "prodigal sons" who deserve our mercy.
And this is what you wanna bring back in 2027? Good luck!

U.S. forces disabled an oil tanker headed for an Iranian port after the vessel allegedly ignored repeated warnings for nearly 24 hours.
Newly released CENTCOM footage shows the moment a Hellfire missile strikes the ship's engine room, stopping the tanker before it could reach Kharg Island.
Military officials say the vessel was unladen at the time and had repeatedly failed to comply with U.S. directives.
IPOB Ireland Holds Solemn Outing for Biafra Heroes and Heroines Remembrance Day in Dublin
Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Ireland chapter took to the streets of Dublin on Saturday to commemorate the annual Biafra Heroes and Heroines Remembrance Day.
IPOB gathered for a peaceful outing and memorial event to honour the millions of Biafrans who lost their lives during the Nigerian War of annihilation (1967–1970) and subsequent struggles. Participants marched, displayed Biafran flags, and paid tributes to fallen heroes and heroines.
The remembrance, which falls on May 30 every year as declared by IPOB, was observed worldwide with similar events. In Ireland, the programme took place at key locations including areas around Parnell Street and the Garden of Remembrance, featuring prayers, speeches, and moments of reflection.
IPOB Ireland described the day as a solemn occasion for mourning, remembrance, and recommitment to the Biafran cause, urging all Biafrans in the diaspora to never forget the sacrifices of the past.
The event passed peacefully with no reported incidents. Similar commemorations were held by IPOB chapters across Europe, the UK, USA, and other parts of the world.

Yes. Just what you're reading. They are now reportedly in Lagos state. I jihad has virtually come full circle. We knew it. We warned. Rather than listen, they kept shouting us down. Now, here we go!
Folks let’s answer this Ijaw guy .
How can Ijawland develop when you people chose to guide oil pipeline instead of owning them, also you’re grooming youths to be militants instead of agitating for your rights .
You used illegal oil refineries to destroy your fishing businesses , help in polluting your environment and your hatred against your neighbors has kept you under developed.

The soulless scumbag, the preening peacock, the effeminate worm @renoomokri contually posts messages of solidarity to Nigeria’s Muslims.
Fine.
Now let’s see if he posts in solidarity to his fellow Nigerian Christians (I use that term loosely in his case) by recognizing today’s memorial to the 3+ million mainly children who were intentionally starved to death in 30 months between 1967-70. By the same regime in power to this day.
If he fails to do so, his silence tells you all you need to know about the conniving Shambassador.
Reno, will you recognize today’s solemn Memorial Day?

A new report from the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) confirms Fulani militants caused more deaths than Boko Haram or ISIS over the past year by mostly targeting Christian farming communities in Nigeria.
Commenting on the report, Open Doors CEO Henrietta Blyth said:
"My heart has been broken as I have heard stories from women and men who have seen their beloved family members butchered in front of them or carried off into a life of slavery."
The latest USCIRF report further details a horrific truth that @MarioDB and I revealed in our report to @POTUS.
Fulani militants killed more people in Nigeria over the past year than Boko Haram or ISIS. Innocent Christians are bearing the brunt of this violent persecution.
President Trump rightly recognized the urgent need to protect Nigerian Christians by specifically addressing this threat in the administration’s Counterterrorism Strategy.
America is a Christian nation. We must continue to stand with those who are persecuted for their faith and hold these terrorists accountable.
This is Major Jonathan Uchendu, the man who led the Abagana Ambush, Biafra's biggest victory during the war.
He was from Oba, present-day Anambra State.
He worked at the University of Nigeria Nsukka before the war. He only enlisted in the army when the war started.
While a second lieutenant, he fought under the 18 Battalion of the Biafran army alongside Colonel Assam Nsudoh.
He was pivotal in the destruction of 7 Nigerian Naval Boats. Also, he caught a white mercenary who fought for Nigeria in Atani and handed him over to his commander to be shown to Ojukwu.
A full detail of his heroic exploits is in the comment section.
Read and learn.
Sadly, Major Uchendu did not survive the war. He died in active service around the Abagana-Abatete axis of the war front as a Nigerian sniper was found with his head.
May he reincarnate in Power 💪🏿
BREAKING: We've urged United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres to urgently invoke Article 99 of the UN Charter and bring Nigeria’s escalating insecurity—marked by mass abductions, killings, attacks on civilians, mass displacement, and other grave human rights violations—to the attention of the UN Security Council.
Nigeria’s escalating insecurity and grave human rights violations are reflected in repeated abductions, killings, attacks on civilians, and mass displacement in Oyo, Benue, Borno, Plateau, Kaduna, Zamfara, and several other parts of the country.
The scale, persistence, and regional implications of the insecurity and grave human rights crisis in Nigeria pose a threat to international peace and security and risk aggravating existing threats in the region.
Article 99 of the UN Charter is designed precisely for situations in which emerging or ongoing crises require urgent preventive diplomacy, sustained international scrutiny, and coordinated international action.
Several years of violence and conflicts in several states have created appalling human suffering, physical destruction and collective trauma across Nigeria. Our appeal is grounded in the preventive mandate of the UN Charter and the urgent need to address a rapidly deteriorating situation in the country.
Article 99 of the UN Charter provides that: ‘The Secretary-General may bring to the attention of the Security Council any matter which in his opinion may threaten the maintenance of international peace and security.’
Placing the escalating insecurity and grave human rights violations in Nigeria on the Security Council’s formal agenda would strengthen the credibility and effectiveness of the United Nations system in fulfilling its primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security.
It would also ensure sustained international attention to attacks on civilians, including abductions, killings, and displacement.
The crisis in Nigeria is not merely a domestic law-enforcement issue. Its effects increasingly implicate regional peace and security through cross-border movement of armed groups and weapons, large-scale displacement, growing instability extending beyond Nigeria’s borders, and weakening human rights protection and rule-of-law institutions.
