Paediatric Pathologist at Birmingham Children's Hospital, UK. Paediatric Oncology and Haematopathology are my main areas of interest. All opinions are my own.
@KindlyLoudly @CCLG_UK Sorry I didn't get chance to say hi. I rarely get to meet families. Your talk hit home with wanting to protect your children from everything. It's a reminder why I do what I do x
@BarelyMDMc@leon_metlay @CCLG_UK It's carrot, it started orange. Not sure about the science behind the reaction carotene has during tissue processing. The lime went yellow.
A sneak peak at my talk for next week for the @CCLG_UK #CCAM on #childhoodcancer. I'll be talking about what a pathologist does and what happens in a laboratory.
Can you guess what fruit and vegetables I've used to demonstrate the laboratory process?
#PathTwitter#pedipath
Top L-R: Strawberry, spring onion, carrot
Bottom L-R: Lime, tomato, cucumber
I'm not sure why the colour from the carrot and lime changed so much while others didn't. Interesting ๐ค
@KindlyLoudly @CCLG_UK @andiroy@LJRussell_Lab@MadDandapani You'll be great. Ask to follow my talk, then once I've stopped using vegetables to explain what a pathologist does, you'll look even better ๐
I got given a knitted ganglion cell - a perfect gift for a Paediatric Pathologist ๐
And yes, that is a plastic eyeball on my desk... Don't ask ๐คฃ
