@krammedshelf not exactly romance but I just started holding pattern by jenny xie and it's been pretty light & enjoyable so far! a young chinese american woman navigates a breakup & future path (?) as she's planning her mom's wedding
@the_booksnom what I sometimes do is post the feedback on Netgalley as soon as you're ready but then hold the review for public posting until after pub day-- if you're not reading it for part of a book tour/other promotional event, though, I think it's really up to personal preference!
🎤 The KBS documentary will be broadcast in Korea on Thursday, August 17th at 10pm

@caszriel I think so! I’ve surprised myself by picking up some concepts quickly— I’d thought they were new but having heard them before almost helped revive them in my head
there’s a decent amount though that is completely new to me and that’s taking some more conscious studying effort
don't know who will see this, but I'm embarking on a new journey & looking for help~
I am learning korean (a heritage language (?) for me). wondering if anyone, esp. apia diaspora, has recommendations for learning a language you kind of but didn't completely grow up with?
@caszriel thank you for this! I’m in a weird spot where I grew up with a bit as a kid but never reached fluency so what I’ve been building on is the limited understanding I retained as a kid
one day I’d like to be able to speak/read/write though so exposure to all the mediums would help
Hi! It’s pub day for Yolk in Korea. I had no idea seeing my Korean name on my work for the first time would make me cry so hard. Thank you to Wedon Books and Susan Hobson at McCormick. I wish my dad could have seen this. 🥹 I’m so happy. https://t.co/mexNIqeyVb
