We were thrilled to welcome @Duncan_CNO and @JamieWaterall to #TeamDCHS today.
Our Children’s Services team met with Duncan and Jamie to showcase their joint initiative with @DD_CAB.
A huge thank you to colleagues @DCHStrust for hosting @Duncan_CNO & myself this morning. The impact of the 0-19 #PublicHealthNursing profession is clearly making a huge difference to so many lives. The partnership working with @CitizensAdvice is truly inspiring #teamCNO
Yesterday was our AGM. It was an absolute delight to see our growing team and all that they represent.Despite austerity & a haemorrhaging school nursing workforce,we continue to grow and are recruiting to respond to demand. Please share:

Great morning with some of the Derbyshire health visitors on our trauma attuned journey. Nothing like lived experience to motivate you to be kind, compassionate and listen to the families and young people we are privileged to support
Universal vaccinating used to be part of my role as a HV. I knew the families, we had a good relationship and I was able to use the contact for so much more than just giving a vaccination. Uptake was good and I knew exactly who was likely to not attend.
NHS England will launch 12 ‘demonstrator sites’ to test new models for delivering vaccinations, including health visitors taking on catch-up jabs for children. https://t.co/jWmWMKA9Vw
Congratulations @scotgov ⭐️
Your public health policy & universal HV pathway has really paid off. ⬆️breastfeeding rates ⬆️early identification of babies & children with extra needs/ SEND, supporting early intervention; ⬇️A&E attendance in children 0-4 years ⬆️parent satisfaction
@TracyAllenDCHS @JayneDCHS So true @TracyAllenDCHS . @JayneDCHS we are so lucky as a 0-19 service to have your support and vision. This is going to continue to make a huge difference to families across the county.

Destitution has ⬆️ across the UK, but particularly in London, Wales and the West Midlands.
In Scotland destitution ⬆️ much more slowly.
Newham, Manchester and Middlesbrough were the local authorities with the highest rates of destitution.
This report reflects well what many frontline children's practitioners have experienced. Take out prevention services, and as night follows day, crisis and late intervention demand increases. It also shows how impactful prevention really is.
