BREAKING: Washington Governor Bob Ferguson signs a new law providing $120K down payments for Black first-time homebuyers.
What about White first-time homebuyers…?
The Downpayment Toward Equity Act of 2025 allocates $100 billion for grants prioritizing "socially and economically disadvantaged individuals," with up to $25,000 per homebuyer. While framed as addressing historical inequities, this targets benefits by race through income-adjusted thresholds and "affirmatively furthering fair housing" mandates.
The bill funnels $1.75 billion annually to nonprofits and agencies with explicit racial equity missions, creating a permanent bureaucracy to manage eligibility based on ancestral disadvantage. Taxpayers are forced to subsidize down payments for select groups while median home prices hit record highs—proving government interventions distort markets rather than solve core affordability issues.
This is wealth redistribution masquerading as housing policy.
@bennyjohnson Its Illegal!
Home loans based on race are illegal in the U.S. The Fair Housing Act of 1968 and Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974 prohibit discrimination in housing and lending based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability.
Due process for foreign nationals is in the Constitution but the intent, I believe was to protect foreign dignitaries and their families and tourists. Illegal aliens are invaders and should not be covered under the Constitution, hopefully SCOTUS sees the intent and not just the words our founding fathers meant!
BREAKING: 🚨 Disgraced Judge Juan Cano and his wife have officially been arrested by federal authorities after knowingly harbored a TdA gang member at their home!
Thoughts on this, America?
