Not once. Not twice. More than three times. And for the foreseeable future…
For patients living with chronic diseases, medical care cannot be a one-time intervention. They need The Sameer Project’s mobile medical team to keep showing up - consistently. Help now: https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1
On August 26, our medical team of doctors and nurses returned to Ihwa Al-Nour Center in Al-Rimal, Gaza, for our third follow-up visit. This was one of our first chronic disease medical days after a 2 week pause caused by decreased funding. There were 38 patients living with hypertension, diabetes, asthma, atrial fibrillation, ischemic heart disease, and other chronic illnesses who were examined and provided with their essential medications free of charge. Our team conducted blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, individual consultations, full health assessments, and education to help patients manage their illnesses.
The patient you see here has met our team before. And that is exactly the point. Chronic disease requires continuous care!! Medication must be taken consistently. Blood pressure and blood sugar must be monitored. Patients must be followed over time to prevent dangerous and sometimes fatal complications.
After our funding pause, we returned to complete the medical days we had already promised these communities. We kept that promise. But now The Sameer Project has to determine whether we can afford to continue.
Patients told us how much they depend on these visits because many simply cannot find or afford their medications elsewhere. Their life present treatment. We do not want to disappear from their lives again.
Help us secure the funding to keep our mobile medical teams returning again and again, for as long as these patients need us. If you have somone in your life suffering from chronic illness become a monthly donor of our Medical Campaign to be there for those in Gaza: https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1

Animals are healing. Their unconditional love can bring comfort, connection, confidence, and joy, and that is why we believe so deeply in the power of our onsite animal therapy program at our Sawarha Camp.
Support our camps here: https://t.co/dT6xhwzZFU
Dogs and their puppies, cats, birds, turtles, ducks, rabbits, snakes, lizards, and more are part of this unique program. Every animal is treated with the utmost care, with food, clean water, shelter, and shade from Gaza’s summer heat.
For the children in our camps living with injuries, disabilities, cognitive challenges, and congenital conditions, these interactions are much more than a moment of happiness. We have watched children engage, respond, build confidence, and make meaningful progress through their relationships with the animals.
In the middle of so much trauma, animals offer something simple and powerful: companionship without judgment and love without conditions.
Help The Sameer Project continue caring for the animals who help care for our children. Support our animal therapy program by donating through the Refaat Alareer Camp link: https://t.co/dT6xhwzZFU

The Tawbah Clinic is not just an urgent care clinic. It is a pillar of resilience, or resistance against oppression, in a community that has gone nearly two years without reliable access to medical care.
Give to Gaza: https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1
Our doctors know their patients. Our patients know and trust our doctors. They return for medications, wound care, treatment, follow-ups, emergencies, and the reassurance of knowing that when something goes wrong, there is somewhere nearby to turn.
In Jabalia Camp, where families have endured displacement, destruction, injury, illness, and the collapse of so much of the healthcare system around them, Tawbah has become part of how this community survives.
We fought to reopen these doors. Now we have to keep them open!!
It costs just under $1,900 per day for The Sameer Project to operate Tawbah and continue providing care to families who cannot afford to lose another lifeline.
Please help us keep Tawbah open. Donate to our Medical Campaign. Sponsor this lifeline monthly: https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1

I'm tired of asking for help and being ignored 🥹
I'm tired of screaming in pain and being ignored. I'm tired of being overlooked. Be human and hear my voice. Save my children. I'm not asking for the impossible, just a little hope 🔗🌹🫂👇

it’s not even that people don’t find adults funny it’s that people are coming up with reasons for it that just sound like they’ve never seen a sitcom before
