@TheMurkyDepths@mtpennycook@networkrail The alternative route along Woolwich Road is so much more dangerous. Narrow pavement with huge lorries travelling at high speeds, dangerously close to pedestrians. Lethal!
@johnharris1969 Sunday bath night was definitely a thing in my 1970s childhood. Along with having my fortnightly hair wash in the kitchen sink. My own kids aren’t convinced by the merits of this regime.
Thank you to members of our parents' panel who courageously shared their experiences with the @reviewCSC
This included mothers whose children were adopted due to domestic abuse & parents judged negatively due to their own childhood in care.
We can't let this go on.
Happy Mothers Day to all mothers - those with their children and those apart, and all who lovingly mother children regardless of whether they gave birth to them.
Thank you to everyone who today stood up for equality in Northern Ireland - whether for same sex marriage or abortion, today we have said everyone in the UK deserves to be treated as an equal. There’s a road to go yet but today a big step forward #TheNorthISNext#LoveEquality

Since 2018 local authorities have a duty to prevent homelessness or work to relieve it for all eligible applicants. In Oct-Dec 2018 at least 5,380 households were in this position due to domestic abuse. Find out more before today's debate led by @coyleneil https://t.co/jmdkJJ8Jbn
@JohnRoanResists@JonColes01 @Greenwichnut @gmb_branch Totally agree ‘democratic input’ is essential & that we should all ‘insist’ on this. But the fact you weren’t careful about HOW you ‘insisted’ for it is precisely why you’ve alienated so many parents of TJR who would otherwise have supported the campaign.
@JohnRoanResists@JonColes01@KirstiePaton@TheJohnRoan Also, not sure of purpose of parental ballot. I see Greenwich Council just sealed the deal on academisation. Depressing & sad in so many ways. But it’s done. Time to move on, teach the students, support the teachers & the leadership and make TJR a positive place to learn & teach
@JohnRoanResists@JonColes01@KirstiePaton@TheJohnRoan I definitely don’t support forced academisation & don’t support govt policy on academies (or anything else for that matter). But I recognise when a campaign becomes harmful to the people it claims to serve. And when those ‘campaigners’ claim to speak for me & my child.
Vacancy: we are looking for a Research Officer to work alongside Professor of Education and Adoption @selwynj@UniofOxford on the Bright Spots Programme.
Please retweet. Closing date 21 June.
