In case you hadn't seen it, here's the briefing doc obtained by @Channel4News from the EA to the SoS of @DefraGovUK explaining how to fiddle bathing water quality reports.
Read it and weep.
And here's part 2 of that briefing note where the EA are explaining to the SoS how they can deflect the public's attention by changing the wording; to 'better present' the bathing reports
IE change "Pollution Risk" to "Water Quality Forecasts", etc, etc.

Some options for improvements included changing language to “adopt more positive descriptors, replacing ‘Pollution Risk’ with ‘water quality’ forecasts. Though they warned this could be “construed as ‘greenwashing’”
Exclusive: Documents obtained by @channel4news show the government discussed with the regulator how pollution warnings could be “Better presented” There was concerns they were “adding fuel to the persistent negative narrative from the media and campaign groups around raw sewage"
We started with the accounts of serving cops - on the unseen consequences of GMP’s promise to double arrests.
But while working on this, another question came up:
When is a strip search not a strip search?
Channel 4 News has uncovered concerns among serving officers at Greater Manchester Police, who've said they're taking "unacceptable risks" and that "dozens of inappropriate and disproportionate" arrests are being made every week.

“Dropped his kecks and swung his apparatus”.

Exclusive investigation by @RWindscheffel on mental health services.. and the consequences when people don’t get the support they need.
This is not an easy watch. But the devastating stories from families we spoke to need to be heard.
No beds, delays in care, not enough staff, not enough training.
Our investigation into coroners warnings over failures in mental health care. @MindCharity say the findings should be seen by government to bring change
Thank you to the families for sharing their powerful stories
Er yeah sooo... personal news? After eleven and a half years, hundreds of council meetings and what I'm pretty confident has been literally millions of Andy Burnham press conferences, I'm waving goodbye to the wonderful Manchester Evening News, to join the FT as northern corr.
At a press conference yesterday @LordKPatel said that a copy of the @AzeemRafiq30 report had been sent to @julianknight15 as the Chair of the DCMS Select Committee. Today @julianknight15 has told the Commons that he still doesn't have the report.
And here's @julianknight15 calling on @YorkshireCCC to release the report to him today - which @LordKPatel said yesterday had already been sent to him.
An autistic 10-year-old boy was assaulted by a police officer in school - a relative tells @clarefallon "it's devastating" and calls for officers to receive mandatory training on how to deal with children with similar conditions.
Lesson for life-
“To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity, honesty, loyalty humility and integrity.
Allow yourself to be who you were meant to be, instead of what others say you should be.”
Good😊morning 🌹
