Fair to say there is some extreme interest in Geelong’s so-called corpse plant, or ‘amorphophallus titanum’, for those playing at home. It flowers every decade and lasts just 24-48 hours. Those on the way out of the botanic gardens report dry-retching.
It's been the talk of the town in Geelong and beyond, the corpse flower has bloomed in all its smelly glory! The rare species only blooms once a decade, emitting a pungent odour. Kellee Reissinger from Geelong Botanic Gardens is watching with bated breath. @mikeamor7#7NEWS
OK, Harvard SUSPENDED 25 professors from the library for silently studying materials about Palestine with signs saying "Embrace Diverse Perspectives." I don't think these new university rules are working. Do you?

One of the more frustrating things about research that *includes* Indigenous people, is that it's so often measuring us against non-Indigenous folks. It rarely talks about what we want, need, or hope for in our future.
We are on hiatus as our writer is navigating Long COVID, and our composer completed an MA. We're exploring new ways of working to bring Undermined to life! We're always keen to hear from theatre makers, scientists, researchers, public health nerds, or fatberg fans - get in touch!
So proud of my @NTEULaTrobe comrades rallying in the rain to support our Academic Board members to vote down proposed changes that will weaken diversity and quality in the structure of degrees

i keep thinking about Sophie Rudolph's excellent piece in @OverlandJournal from June, which helps me (and others i reckon!) to think through our role as educators in dealing with claims of feeling unsafe from those who are in truth actually quite safe

Albanese marks #WearItPurpleDay by announcing trans and intersex people will be excluded from the census, despite promising to fix this issue for years. Thanks mate.
