Thank you to Lisa White from @Auto30Club + Caz Meech from @KeyloopAuto who talked to our Year 8 girls today about career opportunities in the automotive industry and gave sound advice about believing in yourself and making the most of any opportunity that comes your way 👩💻
School Council met this week to discuss ideas and issues from their form groups including how to improve breaks, lunches and wet breaks; which awareness days pupils feel are important to mark this school year and fundraising ideas for their Year Group Charity @ThePyramidTrust
Our entry in the Barton Christmas Tree Festival is gold and green to represent the school colours. Hanging on the tree are golden griffins with messages from all the form groups at Arnold to the people of Barton. The griffin is symbolic of strength, power and guardianship
We had our first School Council meeting today. At the forefront of their aims, pupils want to make sure that everyone has a voice and they want to expand on the opportunities available at school for everyone @ThePyramidTrust#thebestwecan
Stairs of Respect. Finally finished painting this on the wall as you leave class. The question is: 'Where do I stand? How do I move up a step?' Use with different types of prejudice or exclusion #pshe#respect@arnold_academy@ThePyramidTrust
All young people should have access to mental health support, as soon as they start to struggle. We’re calling for early support hubs in every community. No referral, no appointment, easy access. #EndTheWait
74% of teachers believe poor mental health support is affecting children’s ability to learn. The government must invest in young people’s mental health. We can’t wait any longer. #EndTheWait

@YoungMindsUK Somehow somehow find time for young people to have (more?) time in the curriculum to look after their mental health, an invaluable skill for years to come. One less math or English lesson a week to be replaced with self care.
That feeling when you've braced yourself for the stress of leaving on time, finding your keys, phone (life) and shoes in the morning and you find them where you first look.
