A 40-60% reduction in risk of death at 60 MET-hours/wk!
This is not a small amount of exercise!
Take a super-fit 70 year-old with a VO2max of 40ml/kg/min (this is *super*-fit ~95th+ percentile)
Doing their aerobic training at 50-60% VO2max, this amounts to ~10 hours of training every week! i.e. ~90 minutes EVERY day!
At lower fitness levels, it amounts to even more!

Thanks to 85 #ICUs across 16 countries, we were able to test in the EFFORT Protein trial, whether a higher dose of protein provided to #ICU pts would improve their clinical outcomes or not.

ACSM is saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Blair, ACSM president 1996-97. His countless contributions to the college and the field will continue to impact lives for generations to come.
To lose weight do we need to kill ourselves at the gym? No.
Moderate intensity exercise 🚶♀️ 2000kcal/wk lost more weight than vigorous intensity 🏃♀️ 1000kcal/wk. So duration matters more than intensity.
It's not high intensity exercise or bust. A brisk walk will do!
Great meeting with the VICToRY Team fromCanada, USA, Mexico, UK, Singapore, Egypt, Germany.

Thanks to both @DrDaleNeedham & @V_Dinglas for their mentorship.
@DrDaleNeedham inspires me and countless others each day & 300 characters will not be enough space to describe his impact as a mentor & a role model.
Lucky to be a part of this cool team!

@crossbarrhockey This is a very naive statement. It is either clickbait or a lack of hockey knowledge. There are many articles explaining this in existence. The likelihood of what hand you shoot actually differs depending on the country you started playing hockey in too.
