This week we were lucky to have two year 6 children join us. They wanted to plan and deliver a science lesson. They made a PowerPoint presentation all independently using their computing skills. Class 3 loved it and very impressed

This week in English the children have been writing about animals from Africa.We had retrieval linked to the 2,5& 10 times table.Our Amazing Africa topic has led us to locating Africa more closely Tanzania 🇹🇿.Computing we have had retrieval of keys on a keyboard.@stmarysderby

In Maths this week we have been working on tens and ones and number ordering. We have continued our work on writing our very own instructions and in Topic we have learnt where different foods come from in the UK. What countries make up the United Kingdom? @stmarysderby

This week we had some retrieval questions about colour mixing.
In Maths we ended our place value topic with a round up of all our skills taught.
In English, we used our senses to create an autumn senses poem! We also performed the poem too. @stmarysderby

We have been looking at aerial maps & how to draw one with a key. In music, we have been working on the musical notes of crotchet, quaver & rest, amazing performances of their work.English we have created our own characters with some great writing. @stmarys

We have focused on the traditional tale of Little Red Riding Hood acting out the story using a text map & actions. The children then drew their own text maps. In topic,we learnt about ariel maps & seeing this as a birdeye view discussing human & physical features @stmarysderby

Wow what a week! We have been looking at the artist Joseph Wright, we have been working on our colour mixing.

In Maths we have recapped number bonds to 10 and looked at number bonds to 20.

A great week this week Class 3 looking at what technology is in Computing, we learnt about Florence Nightingale and compared old and new hospitals.
Great letter formation has been seen and drawing our family and why they are important to us. Well done Class 3 @stmarysderby
