What a super topic lesson this week Class 3! We did a timeline retrieval around significant people and events - can you remember where the Great Fire of London started? We then did a quiz on Kahoot comparing Derby and Mumbai - a super competitive way to show our understanding!

This week Class 3 have been sketching a map of our local area and creating a key to identify landmarks.
In English, we have been working hard on our phonics and have managed to identify digraphs and trigraphs in words.

Class 3 have loved their day celebrating the coronation of King Charles III. We wrote our manifestos about βIf I were King for the dayβ and read them to the rest of the class. We then put our art skills to the test by drawing, painting and creating different pictures.
Class 3 have thoroughly enjoyed their Science lesson this week. We have planted our own sunflower seeds ready to record what happens to them over the next 2 weeks.

A fantastic first week back! Class 3 have thoroughly enjoyed their practical lesson in topic, laying out the 7 continents and 5 oceans and actively moving to find their answers. Can you remember which continent is hot and has kangaroos? Can you remember the 4 compass points?
A fantastic PSHE lesson about Earth Day for tomorrow. We discussed about how it is important for us to look after the Earth. We then created some posters of how we can help save the environment. Class 3 had some lovely suggestions. @Class12stmarys@stmarysderby
