Friday new loco news!
We will be the new home of #Class47 Preservation Project loco 47771.
Class 47s were the main traction hauling coal to Chinnor cement works, especially in latter years. A 47 was the last class of loco to travel the line under BR.

@1294780s It’s not something we offer, our loco is under restoration at present. There may well be other 47 groups that offer this.

Alas today's move of 47771 has been postponed at short notice. When we have a new date we will advise.

With 47771 having arrived safely yesterday at Southampton it is planned to offload her today ready for the short rail journey to Eastleigh
