I'm proud of this labor of love. If you have ever struggled to get through Orthodoxy, we hold your hand the whole way. I ask all the dumb guy questions and @ClassicalMTG has all the answers.
@animalfarmfilm@AngelStudiosInc You are disingenuously portraying what this brain rot version of a great book is about. Your movie is about Capitalism = Bad, Communist-Socialism = true democracy. Completely opposite Orwell’s actual message in his book.
Stop trying to gaslight your audience.
Scientists have created one of the most detailed 3D reconstructions of a human cell (eukaryotic cell) ever produced.
This groundbreaking model, often termed a "Cellular Landscape Cross-Section Through a Eukaryotic Cell," combines data from X-ray tomography, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and cryo-electron microscopy to map molecular structures in extreme detail.
This whole debate is so stupid and tiresome. There are two unmovable facts that are not going to go away no matter how many times people repeat Pope Francis’s extreme statements on the subject: (1) the death penalty is not intrinsically immoral, and to teach otherwise would clearly conflict with scripture and 2,000 years of previous Church teaching, including every pope who spoke on the matter up to Benedict XVI; and (2) whether the death penalty is in practice needed in order to protect society is an empirical matter of social science, which remains controversial among experts and which popes have no more expertise about than they have about plumbing or automotive repair. Anything any pope says about the subject of the death penalty has to be understood in light of these two data points. Just parroting what Pope Francis said over and over and scolding people who don’t understand how to reconcile it with (1) and (2) doesn’t accomplish anything, and the controversy will only continue to fester the longer churchmen ignore these points.
@The_Kyle_Mann This is an uncharacteristically long summary from you, Kyle. Yet pretty thorough, and you almost had me convinced. But then I remembered this moment from our old LotR Bee podcast. And I can’t shake the feeling I’m being trolled again.
While most kids content feels like fast food created by giant companies who want your kids only to consume, there are genuine indie kids creators out there. @explodeybook is like a Farmer’s market of creator-driven kids content. But we don’t just want kids to consume, we get them in on the creative process. I couldn’t be more proud of this project.
Get a new giant colorful book every other month filled with content your kids will love.
A discussion with our Patreon people. What would Chesterton make of Trump? We don’t have answers but we do have a lot of guesses.

I had been invited to speak later this month at St. John’s Seminary in Los Angeles. I have now been informed that the event is being cancelled, due to complaints from unnamed critics who find me too controversial. Meanwhile, the always controversial Fr. James Martin will be speaking this month at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, on the theme “Hope on the Horizon: LGBTQ Catholic Update 2026.” It appears that, for some in @ArchbishopGomez ‘s archdiocese, Fr. Martin is welcome to speak about that topic to educators of Catholic youth, but I am not welcome to speak to seminarians about how to defend the Church’s teaching on the soul’s immortality.
@JDean1840615@FeserEdward Frankly, it’s high time for the Catholics of the world to rise up against the tyranny of the Magnesium, and its arrogant claims of infolatabilty.
This is a more fundamental moral and social evil than any that right- and left-wingers fixate on today. They will continue to pretend otherwise until their civilization is gone, or they’ll wake up and return to what natural law and Christian morals alike command. No third option.
