@hiphopgods @MrChuckD @PublicEnemyFTP @madina_design @TheImpossebulls @TheRealDJBacon @LibrarywithTim @PEPRradio @WildManSteve1 @FrankTru1 @HHC_hiphop @CassetteWeek The second verse of the opening track, Mistachuck, is just glorious:
"Can't win without beginning it
Heed the word of the brother and the voice that got the muscles in it"

@rwilliams1947 @philipoltermann And a big shout out for @philipoltermann's book, the Stazi Poetry Circle, a fascinating account of how East Germany used poetry to fight the West: https://t.co/DFSXSWR6F8

@MrChuckD @LiberteeUSA Recorded and broadcast on the day my brother was born. Not a bad start!

@Birmingham_81 Sat at the top table of song-writing greats.

A succinct and thought-provoking summary of how regulation in the UK prioritises the rights of businesses and their investors over the needs of the general public.

[Steve Bowbrick @bowbrick]

How does regulation work? Probably not exactly how you think it does. It's in the news again - the Grenfell tragedy, water companies and social media. Here's a thread about regulation, in case you’d got the wrong idea about how it's supposed to work.

@bowbrick Love this story.

Mostly fascinating interview with Paul McCartney about his drumming: he plays right-handed because he didn't want to mess around with the set-ups of the drummers on whose kits he was messing around.

2 men jailed today 4 social media posts that stirred up the recent far-right violence . So why is the BBC interviewing Douglas Murray seated in a Chesterfield spouting the same vile nonsense ? Is a condescending posh accent still a Get Out of Jail Free Card in the UK ?

@MrChuckD @Carl_Lewis @Carl_Lewis is doing a fine job as a coach, bringing through Louie Hinchliffe to the Olympic 100m men's semis:

If they really had 'legitimate concerns' they wouldn't need to lie so much.

It's still possible to obtain a rare copy of my 2023 poetry tabloid pamphlet ROYAL for nothing by DM'ing me your postal address. It's a sequence of 19 poems in Chaucer's favourite Rhyme Royal form but it's got some bang up-to-date swear-words in it too.

@Birmingham_81 The bass player is working so hard. That bass line is so groovy, and it's roaming all over the place.

Bot Farm. In 2016 100,000 + were poured into social media from the 45 admin side. They formed and attached agendas and attack 8 years later. These are the people you argue with. Designed. And real people follow in clumps and attach their souls.

@petepaphides Move fast and mend things!

A great Monmouth crowd for My Family and Other Rock Stars last night. Thank you to all who came, to @juderogers for flawless chairing and @RossiterBooks for extra special #independentbookshopweek selling!

Sensational change of aura from Amadou Onana here. He went from BBC Four to ITV2 in an instant

Willie Mays has gone. A star from a sport that I don’t follow, but somehow someone I knew enough about to tip my cap at his passing. I didn’t know this Public Enemy song about him, but it’s a fitting tribute, with some great footage.

[Chuck D @MrChuckD]

The amazing @NabateIslesSMTA dropped such a significant solo on this that whenever I thought about Willie Mays recently I thought of Bate’s solo RIPWillieMays
