@empire_sentry@texasrunnerDFW Isn’t that where houses are falling into the sea? Maybe people are realizing it’s a bad idea to own property on barrier islands. 😬
@ViperMeta@texasrunnerDFW You think people are selling because they are left-leaning? 😂😂😂 Costs are exploding. Good luck to the conservative investors swooping in and buying properties as insurance companies jack up rates and then start dropping coverage altogether.
How is this not illegal??? Cards Against Humanity is PAYING people who didn't vote in 2020 to earnestly apologize and post #DonaldTrumpIsAHumanToilet — up to $100 for blue-leaning people in swing states. I helped by getting a 2024 Election Pack: https://t.co/rQFxwAviz2
@levchyk_eugene@wsdot_traffic@wastatepatrol@wsdot Road rage guy attacked construction worker, was later involved in a shooting incident with police. Details unclear other than guy is / was dead on scene. Covered by lots of local news outlets.
@epricefl @asherfreiman7 @CollinRugg@realpeteyb123 I see that Twitter has switched its engineering specialization from submersibles to bridges and trestles. 👍🏼
Can’t wait for all the design proposals for pylons that can withstand impact from a ship this size. Or the logistics plans for tug escort of all ships at all US bridges.
It's *reminding* yourself that you are *going* to do the thing. There's nothing wrong with you for hating to bathe the dog or for having postponed bathing the dog. But you are *going to go bathe the dog now*, because it's what you do when the dog is stinky.
Go bathe the dog (3/3)
Not sure who needs to hear this, but this helps me slog through basic gotta-do things when my #adhd is in full swing: "Bathe the dog"
You aren't alone. No one *wants* to bathe the dog. It sucks. You get wet, dog gets annoyed, tub gets...weird smears of peanut butter. (1/3)
But the dog is stinky. You gotta bathe the dog.
This probably sounds like trying to force yourself to just square your shoulders and Do The Thing, but for me, it lands differently. There's no convincing, no "I really need to do this!" It isn't making yourself do the thing. (2/3)
@seattledot Why did you convert perpendicular parking to parallel on Utah Ave S just North of Stacy St in #SODO? Parking is jammed there all the time, both time-limited and all-day spaces. There's a good amount of space there for pull-in parking. Why reduce parking capacity?
@YeahThatCindy Friends brought mushroom cocoa to a camping trip once. It was not as bad as I immediately thought it would be when they said “We brought mushroom cocoa.”
