Why do some employers think they’re doing their employees a favour by paying or increasing their salaries?

It’s a mutual transaction. If you don’t send messages to your employees to thank them every day for their job, don’t expect them to send you “thank you” when they collect their salaries.

Let them work, they aren’t your slaves. You can’t pay them today and withdraw their payment tomorrow because they didn’t say “thank you” for being paid for the service they rendered.

Communication and understanding are key in any workplace, and both employers and employees need to appreciate each other's contributions. Still, looking for special treatment because you’re adhering to a contract is so weird.

If you think employees should be SPECIALLY grateful for having a job, I dare you as an employer to sack them all and do all the job by yourself.
