Please meet Smudge who arrived with us recently as an unclaimed stray.
Smudge arrived in appalling condition, he was underweight and suffering from an untreated flea allergy which has now been successfully treated and he’s looking and feeling much better.
Smudge is a 5y.o Beddlington x Whippet and I’m sure you’ll agree he’s a very handsome chap indeed. He is super people friendly and adores any human attention he can get!! I don’t think he’s had the best life before arriving with us, but despite his past he’s the happiest little soul who just wants to please.
Smudge is dog friendly but can get a little over excited in play, especially with small dogs. He would really benefit from being rehomed with a resident dog, a calm, tolerant dog either the same size as him or bigger would be ideal. He will not be rehomed with cats.
Smudge walks calmly on the lead and travels quietly in the car.
Smudge would be better suited to a retired person or someone who works from home as he’s not keen on being left on his own. This is something that will improve with time. He is such a lovable boy who loves to do zoomies in our enclosed field followed by a snooze with his favourite human.
