Last night at approximately 9:45 pm a vehicle was stolen from a residence in the West end of Ottawa.

Patrol officers from our Central Division noticed a vehicle driving erratically on the highway shortly after which was confirmed to be the stolen vehicle.

The vehicle exited the highway and continued attempting to evade police. The vehicle was eventually stopped and after a short foot pursuit the driver was arrested.

An 18-year-old from Montreal has been charged with multiple criminal offences including; conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, damage to property over $5000, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a police officer and breach of probation.

Hier soir, vers 21 h 45, un véhicule a été volé dans une résidence de l'ouest d'Ottawa.

Peu de temps après, des patrouilleurs de la division centrale ont remarqué un véhicule conduisant de façon erratique sur l'autoroute, ce qui a été confirmé comme le véhicule volé.

Le véhicule est sorti de l'autoroute et a continué à essayer d'échapper à la police. Le véhicule a finalement été arrêté et après une courte poursuite à pied, le conducteur a été arrêté.

Un homme de 18 ans, de Montréal, a été inculpé de plusieurs infractions criminelles, notamment de complot en vue de commettre un acte criminel, de dommages à la propriété de plus de 5 000 $, de vol d'un véhicule à moteur, de possession de biens obtenus par un crime, de conduite dangereuse d'un véhicule à moteur, de fuite devant un agent de police et de manquement aux conditions de la probation.

@RiverWardRiley Riley they also need increased safety- security to stop people jumping the gates or using bags to open closed ones. Along with safety along the lines. Please ask for all reports to police and drug paraphernalia and the sorts. It is scary on the lrt.
