Many folks don’t realize that the single largest source of marine plastic waste comes from discarded industrial fishing gear. This time around, we devoted a large portion of our time to pulling out massive heaps of fishing nets that were buried deep in the sand.

Thank you to everyone who came with us to Green Bay Beach last Saturday for Taiwan National Clean Up Day. With a total of 113 participants at our spot, we were able to clean up a whopping 1,022 kg of litter and debris.
