A new study confirms the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than today.

Published in Communications, Earth and Environment, researchers found leafy moss buried 36 feet deep in Antarctica's Boulder Clay Glacier, dated to around 1,000 years ago, right in the middle of the Medieval Warm Period.

During this time, parts of Antarctica were warm enough for meltwater to carve a 4km long channel through what is now a permanently frozen glacier.

Ice that never melts today once hosted moss and flowing streams.

The Medieval Warm Period wasn't a myth, as some climate activists have tried to claim. The physical proof is there: moss, melt channels and layered sediments all tell the same story, as do proxy records from around the world...

The planet was warmer just 1,000 years ago.

During solar minima, the sun’s magnetic field weakens and the outward pressure of the solar wind decreases. This allows more Cosmic Rays from deep space to penetrate our planet’s atmosphere.

These CRs have been found to nucleate clouds (Svensmark et al), with clouds known to play a crucial role in Earth’s climate system.

Dr Nakamura received a Doctorate of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and for nearly 25 years specialized in abnormal weather and climate change at prestigious institutions that included MIT, Georgia Institute of Technology, NASA, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, JAMSTEC and Duke University.

"In his book The Global Warming Hypothesis is an Unproven Hypothesis, Dr. Nakamura explains why the data foundation underpinning global warming science is “untrustworthy” and cannot be relied on:

“Global mean temperatures before 1980 are based on untrustworthy data,” writes Nakamura.

“Before full planet surface observation by satellite began in 1980, only a small part of the Earth had been observed for temperatures with only a certain amount of accuracy and frequency. Across the globe, only North America and Western Europe have trustworthy temperature data dating back to the 19th century.”

From 1990 to 2014, Nakamura worked on cloud dynamics and forces mixing atmospheric and ocean flows on medium to planetary scales. His bases were MIT (for a Doctor of Science in meteorology), Georgia Institute of Technology, Goddard Space Flight Center, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Duke and Hawaii Universities and the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology.

He has published 20+ climate papers on fluid dynamics. There is no questioning the man’s credibility or knowledge base.

Today’s ‘global warming science’ is akin to an upside down pyramid which is built on the work of a few climate modelers. These AGW pioneers claim to have demonstrated human-derived CO2 emissions as the cause of recently rising temperatures and have then simply projected that warming forward. Every climate researcher thereafter has taken the results of these original models as a given, and we’re even at the stage now where merely testing their validity is regarded as heresy.

Nakamura writes, “The global surface mean temperature-change data no longer have any scientific value and are nothing except a propaganda tool to the public.” And while climate models are useful tools for academic studies, “The models just become useless pieces of junk or worse (as they can produce gravely misleading output) when they are used for climate forecasting.”

Climate forecasting is simply not possible, Nakamura concludes, and the impacts of human-caused CO2 can’t be judged with the knowledge and technology we currently possess. The models grossly simplify the way the climate works.

As well as ignoring the sun, the modelling also drastically simplifies large and small-scale ocean dynamics; aerosol changes that generate clouds (cloud cover being one of the key factors determining whether we have global warming or global cooling); the drivers of ice-albedo (“Without a reasonably accurate representation, it is impossible to make any meaningful predictions of climate variations and changes in the middle and high latitudes and thus the entire planet”); and water vapor.

Climate forecasts also suffer from arbitrary “tunings” of key parameters that are simply not understood.

“The real or realistically-simulated climate system is far more complex than an absurdly simple system simulated by the toys that have been used for climate predictions to date, and will be insurmountably difficult for those naive climate researchers who have zero or very limited understanding of geophysical fluid dynamics,” continues Nakamura.

It must now be seen as the greatest blunder in human history. And it was all done on purpose. No public relations campaign can change that.

Yes, the world is still a bit warmer. CO₂ is still a bit higher. But NASA satellites have revealed the recent rise in carbon dioxide has sparked the greatest expansion of green leaf area 'in recorded history'.

The entire human story has been about our dogged survival in a harsh, dangerous world, thanks mainly to sheer luck. Our species is thriving in today's warmer Holocene interglacial cycle, which has lasted 11,700 years. This covers the entire rise of all human civilisation, every single empire, every invention and everything that makes us modern, from razor blades to spaceships.

The observable data throughout geological history suggests that today's cooler temperatures lie mostly within natural variability. The natural world invented the miracles of multicellular life and DNA on its own. It doesn't need human intervention. The Earth will run its course despite our interference.

However, many are unaware that we still are living in the Late Cenozoic Ice Age, beginning 33.9 million years ago when permanent ice sheets formed on Antarctica. Ice ages may be rare, but we are in one, whether we like it or not. Earth has seen just five major ice ages in its long history - the Huronian, Cryogenian, Andean-Saharan, Karoo, and today's Late Cenozoic Ice Age.

Today's global average temperature is estimated at 15°C, but this is not hot in geological terms. Our modern era sits deep within a major cold trough. It is up to 10 degrees cooler than the long-term average range of 18–26°C.

It was the Industrial Revolution though, that kicked off the modern world, beginning around 1750. And the discovery of coal, oil and gas created the most successful period in human history. We have medical miracles and the astonishing technology to prove it.

CO₂ levels over 250 years from 290 ppm to 426 ppm have created a massive spreading green canopy. Agriculture has exploded beyond anything ever seen before. It has not caused a global disaster.

And Net Zero, by the way, has never been fully explained - other than swapping promissory notes at annual summits worth trillions of dollars. There is every likelihood it will not change a thing. It's nothing more than a throw of the dice. Yet the error strewn 'transition' to wind-solar is expected to cost $275 trillion - equal to 2.5 times global GDP.

This could have built up to 27,500 nuclear power stations worldwide, ending any doubts about pure energy.

Global temperatures have risen by around 1.4°C since the Industrial Revolution 250 years ago. This came after the end of the 500-year Little Ice Age in Europe, the coldest spell in 10,000 years. Cold usually brings famine, misery and an early death.

Until the past few decades, most people only learned about CO₂ in biology classes at school. It is where we discovered this trace gas is the building block of complex life, the engine of photosynthesis and the oxygen we breathe.

The CO₂ miracle isn't taking a bank holiday.

The world has warmed by 1.4°C since the start of the Industrial Revolution 250 years ago.

Meanwhile, atmospheric carbon dioxide levels around 426 ppm have delivered a remarkable ecological windfall: over 5.5 million km² of new leaf area springing up across the world since 2000, according to NASA satellite observations.

This isn't just a marginal shift. That green growth equals an area twice the size of the Amazon Rainforest. In the arid Sahel, barren lands have shrunk as vegetation expands, while Arctic tundra greening jumped 38% between 1985 and 2016.

Overall, the satellites reveal that between 25% and 50% of the planet's vegetated land showed a marked increase in greening.

This surge in plant growth boosts agricultural productivity while reinforcing the Earth’s natural cooling mechanism. Over 30% of these greening areas mitigate local heat through enhanced transpiration and water-vapor management.

The biosphere isn't a passive victim; it is an active participant. What we are witnessing isn't collapse — it's plain biological abundance.

She is the only creature on earth that can take a field of inedible fibre and hand you back the most nutrient-dense food there is.

The cow is not competing with you for food. She eats the ninety percent you cannot.

We live on a largely pleasant, yet historically cool world, where average temperatures hover around 15C.

This current baseline includes the 1.4C rise since the start of the Industrial Revolution 250 years ago. We are rarely reminded Earth's climate is roughly 10 degrees 'colder' than the long-term global average of 18C to 26C across hundreds of millions of years.

A warmer climate would not be a crisis, and never has across the history of biological life.

Humans and our unique, symbolism-based culture evolved against this cooling, drying backdrop of the Late Cenozoic Ice Age, which has lasted 34 million years since the glaciation of Antarctica. We are currently in its coldest phase — the Quaternary glaciation — which has endured for 2.58 million years.

Almost all human civilisation - and our acute sense of modernity - arrived during a brief, 11,700-year warm interglacial oasis known as the Holocene. This demonstrates that we are an 'ice age adapted' species, as are all modern mammals. Yet the current climate crisis is built around an institutional dogma, which ignores this vast geological history, operating as if the earth works just like a greenhouse, which it doesn't.

It's all complex. While orbital cycles dictate the 'macro' climate epochs of the Earth over millennia, the current debate focuses entirely on the 'micro' trend of the last 250 years. Our planet is constantly responding to the orbital aberrations identified by Milutin Milanković.

Over the short term, this changeability comes from natural variability in solar radiance, ocean currents, atmospheric water vapor and volcanic activity; over the deeper long term, it is guided by the ponderous tectonic creaking of continental plates.

The world's oceans, water vapor and clouds contribute 50% to 70% of atmospheric warming. The geological record reveals that only after the oceans — especially the Southern Ocean — have warmed for centuries does dissolved CO₂ outgas from the deep waters, a process unfolding over 5,000 to 10,000 years.

To focus exclusively on a trace gas like CO₂ is to ignore the true scale and power of these natural systems. Furthermore, the narrative completely missed the biological utility of this gas: NASA satellite data has shown a significant increase in global green foliage over recent decades, largely driven by elevated CO₂ levels acting as an airborne fertiliser. This green wave, alongside booming global agriculture, was entirely unanticipated by backers of the crisis agenda.

Today, this narrative runs directly counter to thermodynamic reality: we simply cannot run a modern economy without high-density fossil fuels, a baseline power that wind and solar cannot replicate.

To pretend otherwise is to forget our place in the natural world, where we live largely by chance, and only as invited guests — not as Overlords.
