Today, we engaged Taita-Taveta County Assembly Members in a two-day workshop organized by @UkinKenya on the domestication of the Forest and Landscape Restoration Plan (FOLAREP) in @TaitaTaveta006.
This follows the County Executives' approval of the draft #FOLAREP document earlier this week.
Our discussions aimed to gather feedback from the MCAs and incorporate their comments into the draft document before its official launch.

Excited to host @CIFOR_ICRAF, which is running a 3-day workshop on data analysis of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) indicators. Staff from our county and @OfficialMakueni are focusing on key NbS indicators like 🤎Soil Health, 🪱Biodiversity, 🏝️Land Degradation, and 🌳Tree Cover.
@CIFOR_ICRAF is empowering our county staff and @OfficialMakueni by providing training on R statistics concepts for data analytics and statistical analysis. The expected outcome? Access to the latest datasets covering rangelands, forests, and agricultural fields.
