Awesome @ClemsonCAFLS seminar today by Dr. Oten (1/2 of @NCForestHealth) about #invasivespecies - probably the most complete breakdown of the emerald ash borer situation in the Southeast Iβve heard. Plus, there were gifs and memes so everybody wins.
EVERYONE'S INVITED to a webinar by Dr. Kelly Oten (1/2 of the dynamic duo behind @NCForestHealth) on #invasivespecies and #foresthealth pests. Tomororw (Friday) 11:15 am EST. Pizza for students afterwards!

First new #invasivespecies/#forestheath pest laurel wilt detections of '22 in coastal NC. Lots of new counties were lit up in '21across the region. Spots in the western and northern part of the region keep expanding, and more positives in the Appalachian region on sassafras.
The Bradford Pear Bounty program is back, giving homeowners the option to remove Bradford pears from their property & replace them with native trees for FREE. Events will be held in Sumter, Conway & Clemson. More info: https://t.co/2gUmhTDIJk #SCForestry#ForestHealth#SCFCUrban
The #foresthealth pest southern pine beetle (Dendroctonus frontalis) is now in MAINE. Not so southern anymore, is it? The big question now is why - natural range expansion, #climatechange, a combination? The answer is probably yes.
I was sciencing pretty hard with @drdavecoyle this morning working to uncover feeding behavior of fall webworms on invasives. Stay tuned! #foresthealth
@WOW_SC has some cool #forestry events coming up in-person and #virtual events. #Webinar series, #Chainsaw Workshops & Women Landowner Workshops. We discussed them in-depth on the #TalkingForests podcast Episode 67. It was great talking with @DarrMolly https://t.co/jChCo0arBC
