• ​0화. 프롤로그(Prologue) : 물의 행성, 웨이버

​까마득한 태고의 시절, 광활한 우주에는 빛조차 겨우 닿는 물의 행성 '웨이버(Waver)'가 있었다.

그 영원할 것 같던 수경의 정적을 깨고, 1만 3천 년 전(=W.B 13,000년) 우주의 근원인 원니스(Oneness)로부터 거대한 파동의 에너지 덩어리가 북극의 수면으로 내리꽂혔다.

삼원(三原)의 의지를 잇는 최초의 레져넌서(Resonancer), 아도트(Adot)의 강림이었다.

​그와 함께 내려온 자비로운 온기를 내뿜는 아쇼라(Ashora)와 다섯의 가신들은 행성의 표면인 수면 위에 대지의 씨앗인 '광물원(수정체)'을 심으며 웨이버 행성 진화에 파문을 일으켰다.

그러자 물뿐이던 세상에 기적이 일어났다.

솟아오른 최초의 땅, 백회산을 기점으로 거대한 뇌 형상의 대지가 차례차례로 솟아올랐고, 찬란하고 웅장한 브레이누 대륙이 형성되었다.

물 속에서 나고 자란 고대 웨이버인들의 수중 문명 "반(Vann)"과 아도트의 후예들은 이 새로운 대지 위에서 "매터(Matter) 문명"을 꽃피우며, 브레이누족이라는 이름 아래 하나로 어우러졌다.

​그러나 7천년간의 창조와 융화는 6대 레져넌서 에테로고(Etherogo)의 시대(=W.B 6,000년)에서 멈추었다.

그는 더 이상의 진화를 거부했다.

우연히 깨져버린 수정체의 파편을 삼킨 순간, 그의 내면에서 걷잡을 수 없는 공명력이 폭주하기 시작했다.

빛과 어둠의 입자를 깨우친 그는 오직 자신의 탐욕을 채우기 위해 선대들이 걸어온 숭고한 궤적을 벗어나 욕망을 향해 질주했다.

​폭군은 자신의 공명력을 수정체에 불어넣어 고대 웨이버족들의 반란 주둔지에 투하했다.

푸르렀던 바다는 보랏빛으로 광폭했고, 그 자리에 기괴한 바위산 투성이의 미네스탈 섬이 솟아올랐다.

섬은 곧 거대한 지옥도가 되었다.

에테로고는 그곳에 돋아난 수정 광물을 채굴하기 위해 수많은 생명을 노예로 몰아넣고 착취했다.

초대부터 주군을 보필해 온 네르브 5망성의 가신들이 피를 토하며 반기를 들었으나, 빛과 어둠을 두른 절대자의 힘 앞에 속절없이 무너져 내렸다.

​패배한 네르브들은 자취를 감추었다.

그들은 초대의 신성한 숨결이 서린 대륙의 가장 험준한 산맥, 미드브레인지의 짙은 안개 속으로 스며들어 후일을 기약했다.
​그로부터 다시 오랜 시간이 흘렀다.

13대 레져넌서 공운이 다스리는 시대.

수정체의 힘으로 6대를 뛰어넘어 최초로 신의 경지인 위트블레이커에 도달한 절대자 공운은, 역설적이게도 행성의 모든 고통에 침묵으로 방관하고 있다.

칼로신 7인과 자이루스 12인이 대륙을 조각내어 착취로 쌓아 올린 기형적인 번영 속에서, 그는 오직 근원의 계시만을 기다리는지 텅 빈 공(空)의 눈으로 세상을 관조할 뿐이다.

​그러나 가장 높은 신성의 고원에서, 멈춰버린 행성의 톱니바퀴를 다시 돌릴 미약한 공명이 꿈틀대기 시작했다.
