An athlete worked hard to improve their game but struggled to maintain their new skills once back on the practice field, feeling like their old self.

This reflects a common struggle: despite God's forgiveness and the transformation from darkness to light, we often doubt our change and fall back into old habits. We must embrace our new identity as forgiven and live in the light, not letting past mistakes or unbelief undermine our progress.

In sports, disappointment is inevitable—whether it's a tough season, lack of playing time, or injury. But in these moments, remember two key things:

1. You are made in God's image (Genesis 1:26-27). Your value isn't based on athletic or any other success but on God's imprint on you.

2. Don't grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Pursuing what God has placed in your heart may be challenging, but it's worth it. Keep doing what's right, and you'll reap the rewards quickly.

Disappointment won't last forever. Trust in God's plan, and keep moving forward. #Devotion
