Embroidering bombs on a shirt is not a cool fashion statement.

While Israeli athletes were told to scrupulously follow Olympic guidelines by not being allowed to make political statements or even wear yellow pins in support of the hostages, the Palestinian flag bearer wore a shirt depicting bombs dropped from airplanes.

How does this fit within the Olympic rules?

For context, Israelis have received over 19,000 rockets since the beginning of the war. Just today, Hezbollah attacked northern Israel again, as they have every day before.

How absolutely despicable that, while the world is debating if Israeli athletes are worthy of competing, they are receiving death threats that we know from experience are valid.

Israeli Foreign Ministry makes ambassadors of Ireland, Norway and Spain watch the harrowing video of the kidnapping of five Israeli teenage girls.

The ambassadors were invited by Israel’s Foreign Minister to have “severe reprimand conversations” after their countries announced they would officially recognize Palestine as a state.
