Two things that undergrad me wouldn’t have believed about my first two years of grad school:
1 - that I’m not studying neuro and actually I’m studying cell biology??
2 - that I have bangs
Nonetheless I’m STOKED to continue studying speckle biology as a Ph.D. Candidate!!!!
Just published my first op-ed on an issue that’s lived in my drafts and heart for years: #Blackmaternalhealth.
Grateful to @kobedollazphd for co-writing + bringing her expertise as a reproductive health scientist.

It was such a joy to volunteer for this @Pharm4Good Reverse Science Fair led by @DelcySamuelle and Naman Srivastava. Thank you @ResearchAmerica for the civic science microgrant to make this science outreach event possible!
Went to a training this week and the question of whether scientists should be involved in sci-comm came up and only a few of us thought it was necessary. Today was a great reminder of why I do what I do. So enjoy some pics of my high schoolers rocking STEM! #pharm4GOOD
