The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, stated earlier during a press conference alongside U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, that he has authorized for a limited time the use of restricted areas at San Isidro Air Base and Las Américas International Airport for logistical operations of aircraft, equipment, and technical personnel with the United States Armed Forces, in order to support ongoing military operations in the Southern Caribbean.
