State legislators in high data center use states need to wake up and do something about this
Why should we be paying sky high power bills for Sam Altmans AI slop video generator
A 15 yr old Boy Scout working on his merit badge just sent me this idea:
No taxes on workers under 18 yrs old.
I love it because:
1. They need experience to pick a college major
2. They need to develop a work ethic
3. The economy needs more workers
4. They don’t get to vote
Property taxes should be outlawed.
And before someone says “aLL tAxEs sHouLd be ouTlaWed” yes, but property taxes in particular are the most unjust.
Every other tax is based on a share of a transaction. You always know upfront what this share will be.
Property taxes, on the other hand, are based on a “value” assessed by the same entity levying the tax. Your town or county literally “decides” what your property is worth (assessed value) and then demands a share of it, regardless of your ability to pay. Fail to pay and they take the property for themselves.
The model is actually worse than an unrealized gains tax; you aren’t just paying the tax on the gain, you are basically paying a percentage of whatever they decide the value is, every year in perpetuity.
That’s why it’s is the most unjust tax. That’s why it should be abolished.
The best way for us to honor our veterans is to only send our men and women in uniform into harm's way as a last resort, when no other options exist, and actually take care of them and their families if and when they return home. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves, serving as a solider for over 21 years with countless great Americas, this is the actual way to honor our veterans. #VeteransDay
This is a perfect example of why regular people shouldn't contribute to presidential campaigns. Donate to a food bank or a children's charity, not to a presidential campaign so they can spend $100,000 on a podcast interview set.
The same officiating crew that can spot Alex Bullock “not being set” can’t spot a single hold on Ohio State all day.
Not when someone’s grabbed by the neck or the arm is being held or when a defensive back is holding the jersey when the ball is in the air.
The Big Ten.
You should be furious at the fact that your government—who is supposed to represent your interests—has the gall to spend hundreds of billions of dollars bombing half the world while your countrymen literally drown.
It is maddening.
Boy do I love watching the federaI government take hundreds of dollars out of my paycheck every week for a retirement program that will 100% not be around when I’m old enough to cash in on it
I'm going to make a few predictions, and set a reminder to repost this 4 years from now.
No matter who is elected President, by this day in 2028:
- The federal government will be at least $42 trillion in debt (probably more)
- The cost of living will have increased by at least 12% (probably more)
- The total number of federal employees will increase
- The total number of federal regulations will increase
- Multiple federal agencies will continue to spy on you and monitor every message, email, phone call, and financial transaction you make
I sincerely hope that I'll be able to quote tweet this and say "Well I guess I was wrong."
