There seems to be a "coming to Jesus" moment for a lot of people on all sides of the spectrum. Americans have been struggling long before Trump, while large companies haven't seen a dip in profit.

Idk if I could handle getting a degree and waiting 10 years to be able to use it. I went to school one year for accounting, and realized it made no sense learning how to save people money, while putting myself in a debt

I think it's very good to promote trade jobs as an option. But it's disingenuous to give shade to the people that were sold on an illusion of college because someone didn't tell them they could be a plumber

I think it's hard to predict what your industry is going to look like in 4 years tho. Sure tech is hot, but with the free money in silicon drying up, the tech sector isn't even as secure

I will agree with you there. Kids were sold "this is the only way! Do whatever you can to make it to college". Desperate families wanting out of their hole take out a loan. Rates are predatory.
