@DavidJoffe64@HarrySpoelstra A friend (late 20s previously healthy)with long covid since 2022, basically house bound, POTS, fatigue , can only digest food if fed via tube and many long hospital stays . Parents are full time carers. Medical professionals (mostly mask less ) are of little or no help .
Right, but we know from the 2018 superspreading events in Argentina that Andes Virus spreads H2H likely via the aerosol route with an R0 of 2.12, same as Wuhan COVID strain. If you don't institute strict airborne precautions now, which you currently aren't, there is a high risk of losing control of this one as well.
“New imaging research suggests that changes in the brain after COVID may contribute to cognitive decline similar to early stages of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease”
This is what you risk with every infection.

@AlboMP Look at you standing there in unmasked healthcare pretending Long Covid doesn't disproportionately affect women and SarsCov2 doesn't transmit asymptomatically. 1600ppm CO2 today in a public hospital clinic setting, and no staff masked for us, how hopeless is that?
Officials at @WHO have quietly deleted tweets saying Covid is “not airborne” over the years.
On the one hand, that’s a good thing because Covid definitively *is* airborne…
…but it’s frustrating that there’s no public apology or acknowledgement of the years of misinformation.
