You've got it backwards. Natural variability isn't off-limits. It's the first thing scientists rule in or out.

They ran the sun, volcanoes and ocean cycles. Across the industrial era, those natural factors net out to essentially zero. Solar activity has actually been flat to slightly declining while the planet warmed.

The "it's all human" figure isn't a script you're forced to recite. It's the result of doing the exact analysis you say isn't allowed. Humans account for about 1.07°C of the 1.09°C the planet has warmed since the 1800s. Natural drivers: near zero.

And here's the kicker. Greenhouse gases alone would have warmed us even more. Our own aerosol pollution masked part of it. Nature didn't hide the human signal, it just isn't the cause.

Natural variability got its hearing. It lost on the evidence, not on the rules.

I truly believe one of the biggest screw-ups we made in education was telling everyone their ideas are valid.

There was a time when the average person knew they were dumb enough that on 99% of topics they should defer to listening to an expert.

Now they just start a podcast.

No farms have solar forced on them. I have worked with hundreds of farms on wind, solar and hydro projects where the income helped sustain struggling farms and allowed reinvestment and diversification. Not one farmer I’ve worked with ever regretted their decision.
