Climate activists say fossil fuel industry continues to stall #climateaction. "We need to Ban Fossils from climate talks #COP26". Fossil fuels are toxic to the #environment & #publichealth. Is it necessary to totally #BanTheFossils or have them on the solutions table at #cop26?
This is how this Central American country managed to double the size of its rainforest in a generation. Creating jobs and supporting local communities in the process.
We have the solutions, let's implement them.

New record of measured daily average concentration CO2 in the atmosphere:416.08 ppm. In February(!!)
The saddest thing is that this won’t be breaking news. And basically no one understands the full meaning of this. Because we’re in a crisis that’s never been treated as a crisis.
Bangladesh has been installing 50,000 #solar systems on residential roofs a month. They're nearing 5 million. Canada and the US are talking about pipelines: https://t.co/994bGzEyjn

Hi @rtmcswee
I'm surprised that there is no discussion of 2C - 2.9C being enough to doom the Amazon (see Lynas' discussion of the 2000 Hadley Centre paper).
After exploring various sources, I think 1.5C-2.9C could see the end of the forest (see next tweet).
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Ben

This is amazing news 💚
Now more than ever it is clear that we need to remove money from dirty fossil fuels, and put them into climate solutions instead.
