@TraderMercury between claude code / cursor barbell - I have a fleet of subagents that ~ 10x my output as an engineer. am regularly shipping features/services/CLIs in hours that would’ve taken me weeks to implement last yr. $ go brrr
can't say w/ 100% certainty obvs. but also feel it's likely not problem in next yr or two, maybe not even next decade - most credible PQC researchers believe ECDSA-breaking quantum is more mid-term risk at soonest (5 - 15 yrs) if not longer
re: "devs could simply easily fork after the threat is realized" - realistically, the migration path would need to be designed before the threat shows up, even if activation happens later
that said, BTC devs would not be leading the way in implementing a new "quantum-proof auth protocol" - rather, they'd be adopting whatever becomes the vetted, industry-standard PQC primitive that’s already battle-tested across broader ecosystem (AWS, Cloudflare, OpenSSL, Auth0, etc.)
coordination would not be trivial, but is also not fundamentally different from other protocol-level upgrades we’ve seen past decades in web infra land (ECC => TLS => U2F => FIDO2/WebAuthn => P-256 (current industry standard) => invent NIST PQC standards => web/cloud adopt => BTC follows)
w/ trad-fi / etf backing, there's vested interest in seeing the migration thru when the time comes. let's see tho.

@jessepollak it's actually very simple
the problem this cycle has been too many coins spread across too thin liquidity (e.g. pump dot fun, other token launchpads, the "coin it" movement, etc.)
the result is very few coins actually transcend past a couple days hold time => holders/believers inevitably get rekt
just b/c there _can_ be a coin for every possible person / event / trend, doesn't mean there _should_ be
the best coins reward holders / believers (this has largely been missing this cycle). gud coins can encapsulate an ideology / new tech / innovative protocol mechanics etc. not just having a coin for the fuck of it.
reducing it to "haha yea coin everything" only continues to dilute the number of coins spread across thin liq. none (or very few) of these "coin everything" coins will transcend past a couple hour hold time => your users will inevitably get carried out in body bags
@apewoodx less "builders" / "devs" that are actually just meme deployers
more creative thinkers / real innovation
without real innovation, there is nothing to inspire belief in
@cryptoklotz@blknoiz06 ya i'd argue sol has the potential to be the blockchain x tech etf play that eth was supposed to be
tradfi can easily access 'digital gold' now thru BTC. but still doesn't have easy way to capture tech side of crypto + ETH becoming failed / dino tech play at this point lol
