The fact Tranmere were rubbish for most of the season is irrelevant. They had nine games left to survive. The season was stopped without warning. Their fate is now in the hands of other clubs, some of whom can take a short cut to success by voting not to play. Defies belief #trfc
I don't know @Iandennisbbc (personally) but the fact he's been integral to so many extraordinary sporting moments is testament to the power of live radio. Tonight was up there with them.
I’m booked to be on the @BBCBreakfast sofa on Monday for the 50th anniversary of Sir Robin Knox-Johnston’s solo voyage (cos I’m author of A Race Too Far on the 1969 round world race). Posting this in the feeble hope it minimises chances of those fickle TV types dropping me.
Watching Vera on ITV player. She walks into Chester le St while players are warming up.
A few mins later she talks to a suspect in a bar and there's a game going on in the background.
A few more mins she's talking to her sidekick, the game has ended.
Was this the new ECB format?
,...50 over cricket at outgrounds in 2020 would be good but it will be a devalued competition due to the 100. Could councils like @Warwickshire_CC , @rugbybc and @coventrycc do more to help the cricket club come to their patch?
I've no doubt the reasons for this are genuine but it'll still be disappointing to Bears fans in Coventry & Warwickshire. They may already feel alienated by the club being the only one in the country not to use the county name in the T20 blast...

This is what a footballer looks like.
Tranmere Rovers striker, George Yardley who left us this week.
A great player, pal of my father and generous correspondent to a young football fan, who would always sign his letters, “Yours through sport”. My condolences to his family. Declan
Been watching local football where my son is starting his refereeing career lately and wonder why young refs don’t continue. Loads of players/coaches more worried about the ref, decisions than actually playing/coaching. Believe me some players/coaches need to 👀 in mirror ⚽️😡👎
No, the law was introduced to stop players revealing religious or political messages. It may not seem right for every occasion but at least players and refs know where they stand with one law for all. Refs deserve support not castigation.
