Complexity podcast - on how the simple ideas of complexity can make a clattering great difference to... mostly everything - by @markwfoden (and Tibbles)
Reminded today of the importance to make sure we are not seeking to apply linear and mechanistic solutions to issues which are complex and require a different approach. This podcast series from @markwfoden is a helpful route in. https://t.co/j9DmJ8Zr0E
@bmj_latest@chrischirp@martinmckee@dgurdasani1 I run this podcast on complexity. Please DM if you’d be interested in recording an episode about the ideas in your paper.

There are many places where the loss of a few people with particular skills can bring the entire enterprise to a halt—what is worrying is that the NHS is one of them @martinmckee@chrischirp@dgurdasani1 https://t.co/qIq6eMWfgq
Just listened to my first episode of @clockandthecat podcast by @markwfoden thank you so much @Jendaffin for the recommendation so much to digest and consider around complexity and how we can apply it to our work. Looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.
Hard to see how we shall cope with what’s ahead without understanding complexity. The ideas are visceral and paradoxically simple to grasp but their implications (for the powerful in particular) are counterintuitive and not that palatable. Which is an issue for all of us.
Loved all the generous responses to the question below. Thank you.
