For years I've been telling myself to invest properly. For years I kept putting it off and making poor financial decisions.
I have decided to document my investing journey to keep myself honest. It won't be perfect, but it'll be better than not at all.
Starting 2026 with this:
@123db_GEEK Perhaps 'insanely' is a bit much, but seems high. But I suppose that depends entirely what kind of house you bought and the state it was in
@123db_GEEK@CallumLyon That seems an insanely high amount. I've been in mine a little over a year and maybe max £500 getting a service done on my heat pump and fixing a couple niggles like re-caulking and minor plumbing leaks
@JHWealthSystems Omoda E5, they did a 'special offer' as a pre-registered car. Nothing else was at a reasonable price at all. Closest to it was the Volvo EX30 which I didn't really like when I test drove, but that was over £400pm
@123db_GEEK@CallumLyon No shit you won't get a boiler for £500, but it's something you factor in when buying, how old, service history etc. Just like a car, you take the risk. If banks think that there are an additional 4-5k costs every year on a purchase then that's what's backwards
@pirateblakbird Not long to go. July seems reasonable for reversal. This is a long complex correction but will make for a beautiful trade for new ATH and beyond
BREAKING: Europe's first Universal theme park is being built in the UK with £1.3bn in taxpayer support, it has been announced
Chancellor Rachel Reeves says that 'the £1.3bn is for infrastructure. It is for the roads and a new railway station.'

@BareLeft The young farmers crews are absolutely riddled with Reform voters, purely because of farming policies. My little brother is one and he's a little cunt lol
