No different to what Djed Spence did from the Mexico attacker, but this was deemed not just a foul and also a red card ! The FA should be seeking urgent clarification from @FIFAWorldCup@FIFAcom
I don’t want to do this publicly but I will if I have to do so. I have spoken to Amanda this morning and she has agreed the story is not utter nonsense. They deny they ever made a promise to Bruno that he could leave. That denial is in the article but it does not change the fact that this is what Bruno’s reps have claimed took place. One of the justifications for wanting a move. Mehrdad and Amanda deny that was ever promised.
There is a lot more that could be said about things but I will leave it there out of respect #nufc
I stand by this. We moved on after the Munoz setback. Confident we will do the same after Manzambi too. If a player opts to go elsewhere for Champions League football, not much more we can do. Up to the club to keep things ticking over and I think they will #NUFC
Goes to show though, if Romano and his merry band get hold of a transfer, and it’s not done by the following day, it’s not worth giving it any air.
Three deals done, out of nowhere, two deals played out publicly, hijacked.
Mental that we've reached a point in football discourse where people are genuinely convincing themselves that a two hand shove into someones chest isn't a foul.... but the ball moving 0.00001mm in the air should stop the game 🤣 Are you people even listening to yourselves?
If they were deliberately favouring England, they'd have given a foul on Kane in build up to Norway goal.
If they were deliberately favouring England, they'd not have overruled the penalty.
If they were deliberately favouring England, the Norway defender would've been sent off for the accidental rake down Bellingham's achilles.
Get a grip, man.
🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Roy Keane has hit back at Erling Haaland’s father after his criticism of the referee following Norway’s 2-1 defeat to England.
“Will he even remember the game? He always seems to be drinking alcohol at matches. If you’ve had a drink, you see the game differently.
The push was a push. You can argue about some decisions, but you can’t say the referee cost Norway the game.”
The badge on the England shirt is older than nearly every nation playing in this World Cup.
Three gold lions on a field of red: the royal arms of England. Richard the Lionheart, who fought in the Holy Land, placed them on his Great Seal in 1198. Long before they became a football badge, they were a banner of war.
For centuries, those lions flew above English armies. Men marched behind them, fought beneath them, and died under them. At Crécy and Agincourt, the arms of England were carried into the fiercest fighting.
Every English king bore them. Edward III quartered them with the lilies of France when he claimed the French crown, yet the three lions remained at the heart of the shield. Through the Plantagenets, Tudors and Stuarts, England's lions endured unchanged.
Then, on 30 November 1872, England met Scotland in the first official international football match in history. The England players walked onto the pitch wearing the Three Lions on their chests. The banner that English soldiers had once followed into battle was now carried onto the football field. The same lions. The same England.
Fast forward to 2026, and that ancient emblem is now worn by players who have nothing to do with our land, our heritage or our history.

How on earth was this controversial?
Pickford on the end of a massive collision, ball has been cleared, ref stops the game for injury
Doesn’t give a free kick as claimed, Norway received the drop ball, Ajer was booked for dissent for screaming in ref’s face
Confused by this Norway ‘we were robbed’ perspective…
- Haaland push = foul
- Spence penalty = favoured Norway
- missed 2 yellows for kicking ball away = favoured Norway
When you actually break it down, England got ONE decision go their way.
Norway, multiple.
@Capt_Fishpaste@NewcastleBrownX@andyeswecan And you are very much correct in your overall assessment and the truth is that under EH Newcastle overachieved for 2 seasons. Last season can only be looked upon negatively with regards to league position but the overall trajectory of the club remains on the up in my opinion.
@NewcastleBrownX@Capt_Fishpaste@andyeswecan Agreed. To go deep in multiple competitions and remain consistent in the league you need a good squad and not be unlucky with injuries. But to get a good enough squad you need the success of competing in multiple competitions and the prestige and money that brings...
@Capt_Fishpaste@NewcastleBrownX@andyeswecan Oh I can quite understand fans and players being unhappy with the league position but my point was simply that to paint the whole season as a disappointment is, at least in my eyes, an unfair assessment and too simple a verdict.
@Capt_Fishpaste@NewcastleBrownX@andyeswecan We had a poor league season (yet still finished just a few pts from E'pean qual) but we reached the champs league knockout stages for the 1st time, the semis of the league cup - being beaten by eventually winners man city who also both won and knocked us out of the FA Cup.
